Export contacts in xml files with this new utility. Useful for export, modify and re-import mass contacts files. XML Contacts Backup has nice interface very friendly and easy to use. It's always good to have your contacts backed up, why not in XML format for better accessibility and editing.

All the selected contacts are exported in a separate xml files, so be sure to select for destination folder something like "contacts backup" otherwise you gona get bunch of xml files in your parent folder.

I download a tool called iMobileTool Contacts Backup. It helps me to backup contacts from windows mobile phone to computer directly. I can edit the contacts on your computer then restore to mobile phone. It works well for me. Free download at: http://www.imobiletool.com/contacts-backup-for-windows-mobile.html

I do not use Outlook and want to backup contact list on my phone ONLY. Can I do it without Outlook involved? Never have synced phone? Anyone, help!

To install: 1) Download xmlContactsBackup_v1.0.cab to your PC 2) Copy the CAB to your TyTN II's storage card. 3) Using the file explorer on your TyTN II, find the CAB file and run it by pressing enter. 4) Follow the prompts. FYI: I always install software onto my storage card. 5) Once installed, find the "xmlContactBackup" program in "Programs" Good luck

Thanks. My problem is solved for managing my contacts. I dont wanna use MS Outlook... By the way Im using TyTNII. For Arrgh, just DL and put the file in your storage card. Then RUN it from your device.

it doesn't work on my TyTNII runing WM6 pro. tried to save to external card and My Docs - just gets an error really soon after starting.

Works fine on WM5 for PDA. Glad for something to backup my contacts as I don't use Outlook.
