Sprint tp2 works great, better than AKtoggler wifi
One click on/off-convenient app!
It does nothing to IE, so your IE not connecting has nothing to do with WiFi Toggler.
this will mess up IE (wont connect to internet even if you uninstall it)
Try the mirror download links if the main one fails !
It's not a shortcut to the Wifionoff.exe (as I didn't even know it existed). It is a .NET console app. And its not 500+ kb its only 12.9 kb and it doesn't contain several libraries.
v,very nice
Well, the download link works now, so I tried it out of curiosity. This app's files use 550 kb. of storage space, including several .NET CF libraries, just to reinvent the wheel. That's exactly what I had expected, so I've uninstalled it.
It isn't any different. It uses the same Windows command. Read the posts below. I simply added a shortcut to my start menu pointing to the Windows command. Works the same.
how is this different from the aktoggle wifi? xD
Sorry, developer's name is Bijan, nor Brian. Anyway, link still down. Just tried it again.
Gerry, Well, without knowing more about Brian's app, we can't say if it does more than the shortcut to Windows/wifionoff. Funny that it was posted today, and the link went dead. I'll give the developer the benefit of the doubt until I can look over the app. Freeware Pooket PC has been notified of the dead link.
Hey, QnA, what'ya say we market that shortcut as an application? It could be packaged in the smallest .CAB file ever! But then, it would also have to require users to install the latest version of .NET CF, and download a registration key from the developer's site. LOL
Gerry, Thanks. Found it. Your right, don't need another app tying up space. Shortcut works fine.
Meant to mention that you should set your file manager to show the files in ROM when you look in the Windows folder, because WirelessOnOff.exe is in ROM. I have that as a shortcut in my start menu, and also as an icon on the today screen.
Yeah, QnA, there are lots of other download errors on this site, as well, as it is obviously being neglected. Anyway, if you look through the Windows folder on your device for a file named WirelessOnOff.exe, you can create a starr menu shortcut for it. It's that simple. Installing the app would probably have been a waste of time and space, anyway.
Looking forward to giving this a try when the download link is fixed.
Not odd. Link doesn't work, and developers link flips you back to the freeware page. At least one user non'g got to download it.
odd, download links not working. page not found or invalid attachment.
