Oh my God! why post this piece of dangerous software here?i got some early version of this software-installed it on gigabyte gsmart i120(which was humbly working accurately with my home wifi)-just curiosity. And guess what "curiosity almost killed the phone!".first of all, wifi did not connect through WeFi(even whose name i dread to spell).then i uninstalled it.Viola!(pun intended) it killed my phone's wifi capability completely.Panicked, went to some forums-there found a man from this wefi telling it does not support gigabyte phones.(and to clarify only the new versions of wefi give a warning that it will not work on gigabyte.mine never gave).then even the zeroconfig resetting link given in many forums gave '404 page not found'. Then the last resort -made the infamous hard reset.guess what-the problem did not solve. This was cruelly happening to a boy who bought a wifi phone just a week back with his hard earned money..was planning for a firmware update(which is not possible without a memory card which i dont have:-( ).crest fallen just switched on the wifi, entered the settings.still it was just showing available and not connecting(slightly better-before hard reset it would show unavailable).then left the phone in that state (yes asked god if this was my reward for ever being in the clergy:-)).but when i came after some time i could not beleive my eyes -the network was connected .tried disconnecting it and reconnecting.it happened automatically.(yes i tested just now).praise the lord, dont know how it got repaired. But what i ask is why keep this dangerous piece of software at all in all these websites.plz remove it-IT IS INJURIOUS TO YOUR PHONE (and one humble word for the comment from wefi people that "thousands are using. a problem only for some means acceptable"- good software practices don't accept this)

My HTC P3300 with windows mobile 6.5 stop booting after trying this software ... SHIT!

mallapottell @ December 15th 2009 6:51 am

Install only if you are able to totally disable windows native wi-fi management software. All third party wi-fi applications screw up your mobile and may not allow you to use wi-fi when u want to

This wefi is so useless and why still allowed here? I can see so much people having problem once installed, I suggest to remove away and don't crash people phone again.

Paul Rutner @ August 28th 2009 11:34 pm

I could not connect to the internet after the initial connection with WEFI. When I uninstalled WEFI, I lost my ability to access the internet even though my connection to my wireless still registers a strong connection. I can not reconfigure my computer to connect.
