very cool application for managing wireless connections
the app looked promising but it removed all my existing wifi network connections and somehow changed the font in wm6 comm manager. back up with spb before installing.
loaded fine on my 8125, but didn't do squat.
i just want to know, why isnt any of the wifi manager can turn on/off the wife on intervals , every 10 minutes for a 1 minute for example. i neeed that.!! probably thats what everyone needs , just to check you mail and not to eat your battery... is that possible? how about defining your profile and once the ssid is found, it logs on to that?? all these "wifi managers" are doing the same things wm5/wm6 are doing, whats the point? whats so special ... i need something better.. please... and try to reserve space.. k ?
Fine, but you have to install .NET 2.0 ;-(
nick, you can download .NET 2.0 from here Then run it on your computer and connect your device through activesync and it will be ready
FreewarePocketPC.net: The link you set for .NET 2.0, is a 38 megabite file. Is that truly the file that goes on your PPC? Or is it installed from your PC to your PPC without Activesync?
Hi Everyone, My name is Amir, and I manage the product team here at WeFi. thanks for trying us out and for the feedback. The 8125 issue - we are working on it, and hope to solve it soon. Casey - drop us a note at support@wefi.com and I'll make sure you get an updated version once this issue is solved. Briller - thanks for the idea, it's grande. We'll work on an E-mail mode for the upcoming versions. If you have any comments or feedback, drop us a note (support@wefi.com or info@wefi.com). Casey/Nick - you can get the wefi.msi file at http://www.wefi.com/download/client/WeFi.msi - it includes all the required components of .net 2.0 (and it's far less than 38megs :) Thanks again, Amir
it was working good on my mogul then i had to uninstall because i wasnt playing my ringtones. whats up with that?
Loaded it on my XV 6700. Works nicely. In case you didn't know, you need the .Net 2 compact thingy mentioned above. You get that .Net 2 thingy on your desktop computer WHILE you are activesynced, and it will shoot over to your PDA during the op. THEN you download the wefi Cab file to your pda windows directory using the activesync explore feature. I first downloaded it to my desktop computer, then copied it to the windows directory, but thats me. Finally, locate the cab file on your PDa using the file explore thingy, double poke it with stylus, then it "uncabs" the cab file and you have it! WHEW! Regards, Nelly PS. there are probably other ways to do this, but this is how I did it.
Just some feedback Amir. I installed on my iPAQ 210 using WM 6.0 from my PC using the MSI file. I'm using .NetCF 2.0.0.7045 and the installed issued a warning that I had a later version of the .Net Compact Framework. No prob, I ignored and continued with the install. Works great! One other comment, the icons, slider bar and fonts halfway down the main screen aren't as sharp as they could be. This might be due to the fact that I have a VGA device. Nice job bytheway and will continue to look for new features as they become available. Cheers!
Amir, Thank you for your assistance. I already have .NET 2.0 on my 8125, I was just looking for the correct link for my nephew who has the model up from the 8125 and doesn't have the .NET 2.0. Thanks again for your quick response.
It works pretty well on my Dopod 838Pro since I installed minutes ago. Great product ! Keep it up.
Stupid program fuc*ed up my network adapter after uninstalling it. Now i have to hard reset my device. Stupid program!
I don't now how its working
LOL dont think the app runs that fast from watching that poor video!! its only 1min long and the system clock on his device goes up 3min! why did he fast foward it?
I installed it on my Tytn II, and while I REALLY liked it, I am sorry to say it has also caused my device to get stuck each night, making me miss my alarm ;-) Until I figured it out, a few days went by. i'm sure it'll be fixed in a later version, an I can't wait.
Perchθ mi chiede framework 2.0? io ho prelevato il file .cab e lancio direttamente il cab dal TytnII.Come risolvo? Grazie
I have a problem using it on my i-mate K-Jam: It say me that my device doesen't support Wi-Fi... I have the framework 2.0 already installed. Bug of this release? To Marcello: servono le framework comelibrerie per far funzionare correttamente alcune parti del software
Hi Everyone, My name is Omer, and I manage the Mobile Development team here at WeFi. thanks for trying us out and for the feedback. Erez A. Korn: Please let us know what device you are using so we can check this out. Marco: We have a known issue with the i-mate K-Jam after reset. To solve this, please turn WiFi on after Reset and then run WeFi. You should not see this issue again until you reset the device. Thanks everybody for trying WeFi Mobile.
Thanks to Omer: problem solved! Really a cute program!
it is very good being in this side
Does anyone have this installed on the samsung i760 and if so hows it working
I have a v1615 and don't need a widget to manage my connections but the function to fire up the connection for a short time at regular intervals to extend battery life would be VERY usefull
Hey... I've got an i760... I had a pretty big problem with it. Honestly it looks like it will be great, but it just wasn't ready for prime-time. Specifically, it left my wireless adapter on all the time and killed the battery, so I uninstalled it and it seems to have messed up my wireless capability... now my device won't automatically connect to any network - I basically have to set them up ever time I want to connect.
