every address i put in it tells me that it wont route more than 200 miles when the address is 20 minutes from my house....how do i set the default location to where i live so i can stop this "error"
my question is, I have an external gps, the software don't detect it, other gps software works well. how can I make it work.
great man!
it.'s very good
Works great on Touch Pro 2. Sometimes it get stubbern when when you get off the original route, It wants you to stay on the original route and has a hard time re-routing. But the more you use it... it seems it`s getting better at re-routing.
Could this be combined with openstreetmap.org? There's not really much point in having multiple crowd mapping projects, and osm already has very good coverage for a large part of this planet.
To the posters asking if the app works in various countries... YES - this app will work anywhere in the world where it can see satellites and get a data connection. There may not be maps for your area, but this the idea behind this kind of app is that it is collaborative. ie if there is no mapping for your area, then you create the mapping by recording new roads (the 'pencil' icon on the left). Those roads are then shared with other users and the mapping grows.
This app and the idea behind it (crowd sourcing) could be a big deal if it catches on. I enjoy marking the location of police, playing pacman by being the first to drive down certain streets, and have even done a little mapping myself when I found errors in the map. The value of the app is directly related to the local community of users/contributers. For now, its more of a project in process, but I have high hopes.
doesnt work in europe :(
I have been using waze for about a month and I see some big improvement. It would be nice if it can alert you of traffic before you get cut in it.
this program is perfect for me, it remembers your routs and gives you points just for driving :-D
Does this application work in Australia - Brisbane?
On a related note - if you are interested in community collaboration of mapping type data: take a look at www.BlueBadgeParking.com for a worthy scheme collecting parking space information for disabled drivers. (Not integrated or connected with this software, but a similar ethos behind it.)
The app 'works' in the UK but there is no data. So this is a rallying call to all UK based readers to download this software and start logging raods in your local area now (that's the beauty of this software - if there's no map for an area, as users you can create it!). The website seems a little buggy the road editting side, but that's sure to improve - it just needs users, so get out there and start recording roads.
This does not work on the LG Incite but they told me they are working on a fix
I really like the idea behind waze. More poeple need to use it to make it better. It needs improvement on the search part.
We need this app for UK.pls nice and great.
I tried this program in the atlanta, ga area and found it to be a real looser. I received constant traffic alerts from places over 300 miles away. The GPS section could hardly ever find more than 1 or 2 satellites so it had now idea where I was. Google maps found 6 to 8 and tracked me perfectly. Trying to enter an address and create a route was a bad joke. Most addresses it could not find and the route was laughable. It would be great if something like this could work but at this stage the bottom line is it does not!
I am addicted to this app. I take a different street just to clear the dots off of my map!!

I'd like it alot more if my VZW i910 Omnia would connect consistently. Can't get anymore outside then with the top off the Jeep. Keep improving things.
