@all: Thanks for rating! @windy: Behavior is like a standard ListView control: Use View|List mode OR SIP keyboard ctrl key for easier multiple selections @DavidDC: Which error message appeared? See also forum page of Voyager: http://tinyurl.com/33fzgun
Doesn't run (installation Error) on my HTC P3450 and HTC T7272. Both with Windows Mobile 6.5.3.
does any one know how to copy and past multiple files on htc hd2? when i tap and drag down on the files i want to copy and paste, the screen keeps scroll down rather than highlight the files like it supposed to. i notice only when i have less than 12 files on the screen (means the scroll thing is not on) then i can select multiple files to copy or delete at the same time. Please help.
Cool and small file explorer. A thousand times better than the default one
Both TC and Voyager look a little dull...I use Resco File Explorer 2008...fast and user friendly...
Ups ... I haven't seen that the discussion changed to TC ;-) It is the users's choice of course. It is correct that Voyager using CF. It is still using CF 1.0 and works for PPC2002 - WM6.5! New stable hot build can be found at http://hfrmobile.21.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=78 The final release will be available soon.
The Beta was for WM5 but may also work on WM6.x! I recommend using 3.1-RC2 or above.
I thought the beta version was only for wm6.5? I'll go check later today.
I'm using 2.52 beta 2 right now, and there have been even more enhancements -- I hardly thought that was possible. ;-) You might want to look at the posts in TC's official forum on a regular basis. There are more revisions being considered because of problems introduced by the latest versions of Windows Mobile; I'm still running WM5, so they don't affect me.
Thanks, hardtoplease. TCommander is by far the best I've tried. For me, the speed, ability to modify extensions and two window and virtual two window options are very useful. The version I have on my phone appears to be the latest (2.51). I'm going to give their PC version a try.
Forgot to mention that unlike Voyager, TC does *not* require .NET CF, and is consequently much faster.
David & Nick, I wonder if either of you have tried Total Commander Pocket, another freeware file manager that has an incredible number of features, including built-in text editor, FTP, registry editor, two-pane view, built-in Zip utility -- and a lot more! No, I'm nt a representative of the author, but I've been using TC since 2003, and its development continues to amaze me. It's listed here, but there are newer versions on the author's site
Nick,I didn't intend to be on a high horse, even though it sounds like fun:) The information is too sparse to evaluate the functionality prior to downloading. I've had to do three hard resets in the past six months due to flakey freeware messing up my SD card so am hesitant to download just any old freewareL. What about this app is an improvement over other apps out there such as the one that simply extends file explorer's functionality? Because you like it, I'll go ahead and give it a try.
David, get off your high horse man. I've used HFR's Voyager program for several years and it's one of the BEST file managers on the market today and as such I use it almost daily. It's a great app and it's free...not much more you could ask from a develper contributing to the PPC community.
Your description doesn't describe the features or version #. Is this the same as the version3.1,RC2 available on another site? If so, that site says the app is slow and there are better solutions available.
