To date, the classic "Taiyoukei" is the largest database of the Solar System and beyond for Pocket PCs, now rolled out as version 2.00 with updates and restructured menus.

The program is believed to run on Pocket PC 2003, WM5 and WM6, including QVGA and VGA screens, as long as the device allows installation of VB runtimes.

WARNiNG TAIYOUKEI needs eMbedded Visual Basic (eVB); eMbedded Visual basic Runtime is a tool to help you run certain programs on your Windows Mobile 2003 and Windows Mobile 2003 SE PDA. You should only install it if specifically required by an application. As this technology is now being phased out by Microsoft, this application may not be installed under Windows for Smartphone, Windows Mobile 5.0 or any later versions. So... beware!! ... IOW this eVB = pre dotNET. My advice to PPC ARM WM5+ users: don't use this. For obvious reasons I'm not providing a link.

Got an error message on Smasung Omnia: "Taiyoukei setup" is not a valid Pocket PC application.... Does anyone jnow how to fix it? Thanks!

Does anyone have a valid link to download EVB (embedded visual basic. After downloading the cab file: it says "There's no application associated with taiyokei. Run the application first, then open file from within the .. - The VB runtime link dont operate ANY Suggestions???

yep, agree with meca - others probably didn't install visual basic first, it's a must or it won't work. been using it for ages, the amount of info in a freeware app is quite something. check it out.

Could it be because you haven't installed the VB Runtime application as it is a requirement?? I haven't installed this program yet so don't know if that's the reason, but it's just a thought for you guys.

Tried to install on my Mogul, and I get a "Taiyoukei setup" is not a valid Pocket PC application....
