A type-two hand phaser from Star Trek: The Next Generation for your phone or PDA.

This is a type-two hand phaser from Star Trek: The Next Generation for your Windows Mobile-based phone or PDA.

After an official phaser app was released for the iPhone, the developer couldn't find one for Windows Mobile, so he figured it was time to set his hand to some application programming and see what he could rustle up. This is the result!

Known bugs: the deployment CAB force the device to install the application . working on getting that sorted along with some additional features for version 2.

Tried on HD2 and didn't get any sounds. I had .net 3.5 installed already...did a soft reset...to no avail.. =( Is there something I've missed?

This program ROCKS!!!! I am a little nerdy, but hey aren't we all?? Touch Pro 2 works flawlessly and I am looking forward to using it.

Cool, I like it. Works great on my HTC Touch HD. It could use a phaser overload setting, just for fun.

Update: The installation of .net 3.5 required a soft reset (which wasn't triggered on installation completion) before this app functioned correctly.

Viewing the designs of phasers on http://www.phasers.net/ especially TNG type II. its quite accurate. Although the design could be spiced up in TNG style.

Cool program. The sounds are pretty good but the looks of the program could be improved upon. I don't know if it is possible to give the buttons are 3D appearance. It worked fine on my HTC Touch Pro.

I think this is the cutting edge of design in fact this is the very design that will be adopted by starfleet command when they come into being as an undercover starfllet officer I wholeheartedly thank the designer for spending the time customising my protection unit. Is there any truth in the rumours that you are now working on a universal language translator?
