The SonarCE application is a real sonar for Pocket PC devices. It uses the internal Pocket PC sound system to detect echo from different obstructions.

It is quite precise around 5-10 cm at distance of 10 m. The up distance is only limited by the output power of the device and the speaker.

This program can be use in air or in water but in water you need external microphone and speaker closed in water proof case.

The main window toolbar contains the most important functions: send one chirp, sonar loop and analyze window. More advanced functions are hidden under settings menu.

Additionally program is equipped with testing functions which helps to tune the parameters crucial for the Sonar CE application.

You guys really falling for this scam? If you think it can actually do a 'sweep' using an omnidirectional speaker and pinhole sized pickup (mike) that's facing the other direction... then you DESERVE to have your m-ROM flashed and lose all sound drivers permanently with this scam-ware. About as funny as the web site that shows a camera and says put your face close to the screen and click here to take your photo .... after a few seconds, it 'takes your picture' (through the screen.... LOL) and voila... you see a monkey's face ! Losers

i have an htc touch pro, and it chirps but nothing comes up on the display... any ideas?? seems like a great program though

Does partially work on HTC Polaris (Touch Cruise WM 6.1) Only does not refresh graphics right. Only way to refresh screen is to open some menu and then the program refreshes the area, that was behind the menu.

It says my volume is too low on my Diamond. I got it to work a couple times but not enough to keep it installed.

Yu ! it works sort of on a htc touch pro :) not to sure about the readings though. try calibrate first (the test section.. just test all. especcialy search offset) and then push the middle button (enter) a few times and then press play continuesly or tab the one next to it. you see a sonar image of what the mic below the device catches. i assume it works best if one point the under side of the phone towards the objects or wall)
