SMSRules is an app developed with help of open source project MAPIDotNet . This app basically is used for creating filtering rules for SMSes in the SMS INBOX. This app has several features like: Moving, Copying, Deleting or Hiding a SMS. Option to create rules on user or a text in the sms body Can view and delete rules. Can create or delete folder in SMS account Auto run for individual rules or option to run all rules whenever user wants, by running an exe. Simple Deployment. works from storage Card.
New Features:

NEW IN 4.3
If 4.2 is installed please first un-check autorun.
1. Horizontal ScrollBar added to add contact list.
2. New Tab added (Tools), gives option to Archive selected folders. Archiving will move all the messages from the selected folders to the ArchivedSMS folder and create a subdirectory tree with same name as of the source folder and under that will create folders datewise.Eg
ArchivedSMS->Inbox->Inbox_160110
Tools tab also provides another option to run the rules over any subfolders.
Select the folder from the dropdown list and then apply rules.
3. New shortcut added in program menu with name "Private SMS" which enables you to access your private folder directly.
4. The time for which wait cursor was getting displayed when a SMS is intersepted, has been reduced.
5. While changing the password from the main application it asks for the new password two times to confirm.
6. Enabling/Disabling Autorun changes the way the New Text Message is notified. Now this will change the sound and notification settings.

I cannot get the app to run on my HTC Touch Pro 2 I choose it from my apps list, it appears to be launching, but nothing launches. No Menus, Nothing. Please Help MikeV

this is the awesome app...using since v4.3 update but Mohit...i got ur v4.6 available on xda.... this app gives error for customized notification, also has issues of autorun...does not immediately hide/delete msgs whn received....couldnt post on xda since i m junior.... hope for d fix soon....:) cheers....

this wont work if you have threaded mode sms enabled. turn the thread mode off and test again

The application I installed has some issues. The problem is; that the sms messages sent by contacts ( which have rules to be moved to a specific folder ) are deleted. And they cannot be located anywhere. Am I missing something here ? What I do is; 1- Run "Create Rules" 2- From "ContactRules" a- Add a folder ( i.e: Spam ) from the "menu" b- select "MOVE" as rule action b- Select "MESSAGE" in Contacts Form c- Select the sepcific contact from the "Add contact" list. d- Select that folder from "To Folder" box. e- Then tap on "add" It says "rule added" f- Check " Autorun " From "RUN TYPE" in the MENU ---- I can verify it from Existing -> Contact Rules -> For folder -> Spam folder. So I start Testing it. It's there but the "Auto" box next to it is not checked. Test sender sends the SMS message.. Nothing happens. Message is still in inbox. then I open "smsrules" again, Go to "Existing", select the rule and check the "AUTO" box. Then I test again. Test contact sends SMS. Something happens now.. And what happens is, the sms message is now deleted. Not in any folder, not even inbox, deleted, SPAM ( folder that it should have been moved to ) .. SMS has been permenantly deleted. Even checked the "PRIVATE" folder in some hope.. but nah.. it's nowhere.. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Or is this a program issue ? Phone : Samsung Omnia I900 Winmo 6.1 Microsoft .NET CF 3.5 Installed Thank you.
