Great Program! It works really well with my ATT Tilt 8925. It has everything I need and when it doesn't I just tap the "end call" button and go to my regular desktop where my HTC home is. So far I havent noticed any disruptions on any other programs. The HTC Cube works perfectly over the PointUI Desktop. The Volume button is not accessible while in other programs; unfortunately the scroll wheel on my Tilt does not manage the volume settings. There is still much work to be done to fine tune these devices. For the moment this is a great breakthrough. Many thanks to the developer for makings this accessible.

very cool work! however buttons doesnt work anymore and the 4 apps should be customizable on the homescreen (applet ribbon part) can be changed to another app, several options should be available in customizing tasks, appointments. but more important is the buttons to work.

This is GREAT! I have an HTC Wing and it works wonderfully! The interface weaves itse;f seamlessley wtih the OS UI. I am extremeley in love with this. In fact, my mom and dad have both installed this onto their smartphones! Good Job! A++++!

The only real negative would be that it does not have a contact setup. Works very well, and is the first title I will give a 9/10. NOTICE: I have found that when I go into the system settings, everytime I try to leave, it automatically pulls me back into that menu. the only was to get out is use the end call botton(someone else noted), which is not convenient when in a call, or to shut down the application with 'close home.'

Crappy program, it selects more or less at random when scrolling, and worst of all, it doesn't uninstall. I used to have a nice working well set up system, and now it seems I have to do this all over.

this app is amazing. its fast. its nice looking. and you can get rid of your stylus. the only downside for me is that you cant close running apps from the 'running applications menu'. oh. and the phone icon doesnt link you to your 'phone'. its just a missed call list thingy. but so far so good. i am loving every minute of it. ^^, works well on my htc touch p3450 running on wm6. you HAVE to try this one.

This is such a smooth application, and well done for giving us this. A few problems that I think everyone has picked up on is the desktop menu where you can't choose what programs you want. I hate to bring up the iphone, but one thing I really like about their desktop is that all your favourites are just there and easily selective. Plus I have the slide to unlock, which would be cool if that original lock you guys did would take me to the slide 2 unlock. I think the desktop just need to look more like a desktop then a screen saver. The screen should be a standard one colour. probs black, as you can't really go wrong. But seriously apart from that it's one of the best applications i've seen, and is a great start to the 2008 applications. Windows needs you to keep it going.

This is what windows mobile interface should be! there r still room for improvement, but all in all, this is an excellent software! haven't uninstalled the app, so not sure about the uninstall problem. works great on my dopod C800. oh, would be great if it has a "task manager" functionality - to close apps. if not, my "running apps" list keeps getting bigger...

ok, uninstall doesn't work. had to manually uninstall. the reason I uninstalled is because I created an alarm, but the alarm keeps on beeping every other minute or so. even when the alarm time is over. it seems that it creates a persistent registry entry under "reminder". I have nothing in my calendar or tasks, only the alarm (which I disabled). but pointui keeps my alarm beeping - even the bell icon is always there on the pointui interface.

Uninstall Instructions If you really want to uninstall PointUI, it can be performed via the update manager. To Remove .Home Drop back to the default Windows Mobile Today Screen Start > Programs > .Update Manager Pointui Products > Home > 1.01b Free > Uninstall Perform a Soft Reboot after the uninstall and Home will be removed. To finish the uninstall, use Remove Programs to uninstall the update manager ( if it appears ) Then delete the installation folder ( program files\pointui ) if you so desire and the icon form the start menu folder.

This is a great product. I love it and it works great on my htc mogul. The only thing I would like is to put a pic up on the background; other than that it is sweet. I wanted a touch screen but also wanted a qwerty keyboard and now i do. Nice job again...ok now i'm ranting.

It's awsome looking and works smoothly. I only have a couple of gripes. ...one being that when i go to the task list, it shows my tasks to do AND tasks that have already been completed. So the task list is useless. Hope you can fix that. Also, when I hit the email icon, it takes me to the "Outlook email" only. I don't use outlook email. Rather, I use gmail. So that's useless also. Hope you can fix it. Actually, if you could just revamp everything to look like your today screen (such as the texting, email, etc) that would be awsome. Thanks.

Updated from before, it doesn't seem to have gone through much of a change. Although black works, I personally prefer the blue. The black is just dark with gray shades, where as the blue was blue with different shades. There seems to be no real difference. It is slightly larger (I believe, by 300kb if I am correct). I have noticed a few options people asked for, such as Start Menu access, and how easy it is to get back. I still like the idea and program, but it honestly just isn't my cup of tea. It keeps it's 9/10, for the easy download, simple re-instal, and of course it is completely mobile friendly. As for the update? 0% value. But it is pleasing to see the programmers listening and continuing to work on such fine products. Thank you, we may not say it, but we appreciate all of you.

this a great app I installed it on my 8525 and so far it looks and feels great the only bummer is that there s no way to change the color of the background or add a picture background so far and I noticed that when you do a soft rest to the phone it doesn't come on automatically and you have to restart the program again. I also notice that it takes up alot of memory. hopefully this app can be perfected a little more so it is light on the memory and allows you to customize it more. Thanks alot

oh by the way I found a good way to uninstall the program. first you soft reset the phone and when the default windows today screen comes on you go to uninstall the program and it should take everything off except the little icon in the start menu. then you have to go to file explorer and look in the windows folder and go to where it says start or start menu and it will have the icons there and you delete the pointUI icon from there and that should be ok

Best app I've come across in years! Kudos on an A1 job. Small observation...Mentioned before by others, but would be nice if fixed in the next update...Mail icon and "check" only register Outlook accounts and no other (gmail, hotmail, or POP) The other things are mearly "cosmetic." All in all, you have created a top-notch piece of software. I look forward to more. :)

I figured it out, I think it disappeared today cause it is a leap year it being feb 29th, the same thing happened with my phone and my friends. I downloaded the program to my memory card then installed it on the external memory card. Works great and the uninstall worked fine. You might want to install on any drive other than local, just in case you want to uninstall it. I loaded it back up because I love this app. I must say though, the only downside I can find is that you can't set different backgrounds or change the default buttons. Other than that, it's awsome.

It works fast and very fancy on Treo 750 with WM5 (240x240 screen). There are some things that I get annoyed of IMO. 1) Key lock that I've set up with WM5 does work, but the notification does not disappear, which covers half of bottom icons. If I disable the WM5 Key lock and use PointUI's, double 'end' key will change the Today screen to WM5 default, then keys are enabled within the screen. 'X' out of the WM5 Today screen will go back to PointUI's home screen with keylock. 2) When I use the "End" button to go back to home, it goes back to the WM5 Today screen, rather than PointUI's Home screen. It can be useful at times, but I'm not sure how I can go back to the PointUI's Home unless I enable PointUI's home on top of the screen to 'x' out from WM5 Today screen. 3)slight delay on SMS/Email/call notifications. very slight.... Other than those, I would highly recommend it if you are bored of WM5 Today screen and navigation. I was very impressed with work the author has put into this. Thank you! Keep up the good work, Author! :)

can someone please tell me how to get this off my phone. I have a treo and it does not work smoothly. freezes alot, "press center to unlock" doesnt work and I cant get to contacts. I went into settings and removed the program. But it still listed under my programs and defaults to the "call history" screen after I hang up a call. I did a soft reset two times and it is not listed in the remove programs list anymore because it was already removed. Help

it's really nice looking and the interaction is very smooth but the only way to properly uninstall it is to simply re-format the phone otherwise you've got bits & pieces of it, including useless icons. Also, I notice my network connections go to crap until I fully removed it (did it 3x's just to check)

Great program! but, it slides into the wrong direction!!!! :( Compare it to the regular slider and iphone,.. too bad, still like the interface,.. hope the slide-directions will be fixed in the nxt update!! :D

To those who couldn't uninstall try this. first download again. accept install. msg will say previous version exists an wether u wanna unistall. select uninstall. after uninstall select cancel for reinstalling.

Look, the pointUI 1.5 is already out... If you guys just searched on google you would know that. Try looking for "pointUI" and enter their site. You will find out that this beta is nothing compared to the 1.5 version which has a contact manager plus the pointUI interface and app laucher. Check it out please.

Uninstall is very easy, just follow the procedure reported here: http://forums.pointui.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=130 This worked fine on my P3600, no HR needed to take off this piece of software from my PDA.

like is said before GREAT program, downside, wish it had more color screens, like Red, Green, u know so it can change with ur mood or how u feel that specific day, black it's cool but different themes would be better. that's how i feel. any body suggestions

Great App and have some major imrovements on the last release. Played with it for a few minutes. Its a lot smoother and more stable. Transitions are great. Overall the best app for windows mobile I have seen. It could use the following: - Favorite filter for the contacts. - On the contacts keyboard, need the @ symbol to enter email addys.

okay i see this thing said updated on title of the name. i previously had this installed. its a good program but whats up with it unistalling improperly. i went to remove programs and removed it but it still showed up as a unaccessible program and i couldnt remove it until i did a master reset. can someone tell how to uninstall without having this happen?

Excellent app. Works perfectly on ATT tilt. It needs a way of changing colors, backgrounds, icons etc.

Don't be put off by people saying you can't uninstall it, of course you can uninstall it, from the very first beta you could always uninstall it, it just required the effort to go to the web page and read the instructions. I have been watching this software from the beginning and right from the start it was serious competition against the commercial shells and similar programs but with the last update it's moved into a class of it's own. Simply Excellent!
