PocketXpdf v0.31 Description

PocketXpdf is a no-frills viewer for native PDF files for the Pocket PC platform. The rendering engine is a port of Xpdf. The program is currently in a very early development stage. PocketXpdf has been tested on an ASUS MyPal running Windows Mobile 2003 and on a Dell Axim X51v running Windows Mobile 5. It has not been tested on earlier versions, so it cannot be guaranteed that it will work on these systems. Note:
You have to download fonts.zip from the homepage to obtain the Ghostscript fonts needed by PocketXpdf. Known bugs and limitations:
- Zooming in too far will make the program run out of memory and quit without any error message.
- PDF files that use weird fonts may crash the program.
- The toolbar icons are a little small on VGA devices. Installation:
- Download PocketXpdf.zip below, unpack it and copy the resulting exe-file anywhere on your device.
- Create a folder called "fonts" in the root directory (i.e. "\fonts\") of your device and copy the fonts provided in the file fonts.zip into that folder. These fonts are a subset of the Ghostscript Fonts. Update Description:

- Fonts may be placed in the application directory and are included in the main download package.
- Minor bug fixes. v0.3:
- Optional full screen mode.
- Rotate page ("landscape").
- Text-only view (great for low res displays).
- Optional scroll bars.
- Wait message during rendering. v0.2:
