The classic game comes to the Pocket PC! Help those cute, furry, yet stupid little creatures overcome obstacles, cross gaping valleys and bypass fiendish traps. This clone of the original Lemmings game by DMA Design tries to stick to the original DOS and Amiga versions as closely as possible, including all 120 levels from the original DOS game, plus 100 from Oh No More Lemmings.

Unfortunately due to copyright issues, this Pocket Lemmings distribution cannot include the main data file containing the core Lemmings graphics. You must provide this file yourself to prove that you own an official copy of DOS Lemmings.

Update Description:

v1.1:
- Display should now return to proper orientation when exiting.
- Fixed bug where level stats weren't being saved when reloading level.
- Fixed graphics bug where objects were always drawn in top left corner.
- Upgraded to 16-bit sound, improving low-volume sound quality.
- Simplified install process by adding dialog to look for MAIN.DAT.

Game Freezes for me too on Title Screen. Didn't ask me where my Main.Dat file was...don't know if it was going to ask me as it froze. I put the dat file in the lemmings directory on my phone. I had to do a soft reset to get out of it, my phone was not responding.

I have the original HTC touch. I downloaded the game and then put the main.dat file in the program file/pocket lemmings folder as well as many others and for some reason when I start the game and it asks to link to the main.dat file it doesn't recognize it. I have tried every folder since there are a number of files it can look in and none of the files will recognize the file when the start up is asking where the file is. Can anyone help me? I love this game and remember is from back on the super nes and I am wishing I could play this on my phone. Thanks

David sucks. The main.dat file is easy to get if you bother to read or understand why it is not there. David may i suggest you limit you enjoyment to the iphone. I don't think you are ready to get into settings and emulators and clever things like that. Or maybe ask you parents to help you. Bless.

@Johannes: I have a problem that i don't understand. I have downloaded lemmings after instal it. i open the folder and i have: Lemmings OnHoMore sounds GUI LemmingsCE README I have readed the readme.txt but i still don't understand where is that MAIN.DAT file Thanks for your help

Johannes, isnÂ´t it possible to calculate the pixel 4 times bigger than original, then display it. the original version her on my dell axim x51v (VGA 640x480) is approximately 7 times slower.

PS: I've the Xpera Tweak installed and if I change the cache size (filesystem and graphic) it freezes more or less.But if I set it to 0/0 it sill freezes. Thanks for you Help!

I'm also using the SE X1 and I also have all the time freezes. The freeze occours only if I click anywhere (also in menu eg Settings etc). In the game I can click sometimes 3 times and after that if freezes again. Always when it hangs the click will be not accepted and I have to click again -> freeze again etc. Only if I press the pen there until the freeze is gone (2sec) it will be accepted. Can you help me to solve this problem? I still downloaded the debugfill exe and there it is much better but still not solved. Thanks for your reply.

@Matt and everyone else still getting freezes: I have no idea what could be causing this, and without being able to reproduce it it is very unlikely that I'll be able to fix it. Sorry...

@Xperia: That's a pretty big display... Pocket Lemmings draws everything internally to a 320x240 buffer, then scales that to whatever your screen dimensions are. Some devices have proper hardware support for this scaling, making it fast, while on other devices this can make things pretty slow. I'm planning an option to just center the 320x240 image in the center, but on such a large display that would make the game pretty tiny...

@Matt: When I get the chance I'll post a version that doesn't rotate the screen on square devices. Hopefully that should fix the corruption.

I tried downloading lemmings trice. all I got was over a 1000k of scripting. I have a samsung i780.

@Johannes - Hi just thought I'd say that I installed on my Samsung i780 which has a 320x320 screen - and although the game works fine - when I exit the game the today screen is corrupted. By this I mean that there is a 0.5cm bar above the soft button bar at the bottom that I cannot clear, and one of my today plugins has disappeared until I soft reset. Not sure if it helps but when I launch the game the screen flips 90 degrees - which on a 320x320 device makes no difference. Thanks for your efforts, Matt

@Johannes the bug doesn't depend on where I tap and there is no problem determining the correct button push when it doesn't freeze. the only screen it doesn't happen on is the title screen.
