Cleaning works like this:
1) Scan the Outlook database, looking for duplicate items.
2) Exact duplicates are deleted.
3) Near-duplicates are displayed for manual merging/removal.
4) You go through the sets of near-duplicates, where you can see all the values which are different, and choose to keep, delete, or merge items.

Contacts with the same "FileAs" are compared against each other.
Appointments with the same "Subject" and similar start/end times are compared against each other.
Tasks with the same "Subject" and similar start/end dates are compared against each other.

Outlook Cleaner works really well. If you tend to use programs like Myphone and sync with ActiveSync to Outlook on a computer you are bound to have duplicates on the phone and computer. This program quicly finds the duplicates and deletes them. A real time saver.

The tool works on my TP2 running 6.5. Instructions are very vague. Will remove duplicates of items. Would like to work on multiple items at a time when items are close in comparison.

It did scan and recognize the items on my TP2 running 6.5. Was not effective on tasks and appointments.

Works great on my Treo 800w. I have over 1000 contacts at least 25 were duplicte. Fast easy way to clean up.

HTC TP2 WM6.5: It cleaned my contacts without a problem, but didn't work on my appointments at all. It didn't scan, much less clean them.
