Version 2.5.3817.33583 True fingerfriendly GPS routing software with voice with routing functionality using google and cloudmade and tile downloading from google, microsoft and openstreetmap. So not only googlemaps and not only openstreetmap but best of 3 leading internet map providers. Be sure to have a new mobile6.5 phone or download dotNETCF3.5 before using it.

All pda/phones except WinMo6.5 which is shipped with dotNETCF3.5 require dotNetCF3.5 installed on the phone. See http://www.mobiletraveler.nl where you can find it and how it can be installed on your phone.
It is only possible to use MobileTraveler on windows mobile5.0, 5.1, 6.0,6.1,6.5 TOUCH SCREEN devices. It must be installed on a storage card and at least 20 megabyte of free RAM memory is needed.

Sad that napoleon did not teach the English that base10 is easier than miles, feets, inches, pounds and what kind of crazy standards you got might got more overseas. Well I do not plan to add this ever to MobileTraveler. Sorry for that.

@ron: thank you very much for your answer. i installed cf3.5 before, but it seems i had to restart the xperia. that i forgot before. now it works, after the battery ran out once lol ... thank you very much ...

Dear Redman. 1) XperiaX1 is standard equiped with winmo6.1 installed. Winmo6.1 is shipped with dotnetCF2.0. You can eigther patch your XPeria win JacksROM5.x to upgrade it to winmo6.5 or install dotnetCF3.5 on your XPeria. MobileTraveler is running on top op dotnetCF3.5 and not ontop of dotnetCF2.0. 2) Make sure to use the 2.5 version which can be downloaded from mobiletraveler.nl 3) For futher contact just send me a mail and we can see how I can help you. Many people including myserlf use the program on Xperia X1 without any problems.

damn it is not running on my xperia?! any ideas why? i get this errors ... David, This is exactly where the application was meant for. I live in the Netherlands and visit Japan almost every year. I do not have maps for my TOMTOM and can not buy them too. So I decided to make my own limited version of a TOMTOM alike GPS system. Maps can be created with the MapFileConverter (see http://www.mobiletraveler.nl) and routes can be planned at home using wifi. The route information will then be cached and same routes will always be retrieved form memory card and not again via wifi/3G. You can try this by put maps on your sd and plan some routes via wifi and then disconnect all networks and see if you still can access the maps and plan the same route again. Using GPS simulation mode you can even watch the route before actually making it. Hope you will enjoy it. Always remember however it's a one man project and the application is for free while things as TOMTOM are done by a whole team of people and do cost money. Recently I integrated KML reading capability too. Although it might in beta you might enjoy this too. You can create KML/poi's or KML routes using gpsies.com or google eartch and view them in mobiletraveler.
