MobilePad is no longer freeware, as you'll find out if you follow the link to the "FREE serial code" above. To admin: Please remove this.
Garion, you might want to try Notepad Mobile by Shamasis: (http://www.pocketpcfreeware.mobi/download-notepad-text-editor.html). If you follow the links to the author's web site, and then to his forum posts at xda-developers.com, you'll be able to download an updated version. I tried Orneta Notepad and found it not even close to as useful as this one, which is freeware, has search & replace, and now even a full-screen option!
Thanks Gerry. I'll stick with Word and Orneta Notepad then :)
Garion, the author has indicated in his latest forum post that this version is the final one, and that he's going on to other projects.
I quite like it, although I think it would be useful if future iterations could show the number of characters at the cursor location as in Safenote for Symbian (see image) http://two.xthost.info/garion/mopad.PNG love the sliding zoombar.
i agree with Grumpy 100%
its asking updated ms framework
Sorry, it's slow on my Mio A501 like a dead snail, and our special hungarian letters are small white squares.
A good option to include would be the ability to password protect files
Diffilcult to down load to TREO 750
Speedy? Yeah, it crashed very promptly! Why can't you people include the .NET CF details in the system requirements when you post an application? Just "Windows Mobile Pocket PC 5 , 6 , 6.1" is not enough info. I have .NET CF 2.0; apparently MobilePad requires 3.5, but I'm not going to waste my time downloading it just to see if MobilePad is worth using. And why? Because I've found precious few .NET CF apps that are worth using. They usually take too long to launch, and are bug-ridden.
this site is a very nicely.

@Grumpy, Notepad Mobile mind change your idea regarding poor peformance of .NET CF apps. :) I am pretty sure no developer wants their apps to be slow, but .NET CF has so much overhead that I, as a developer, have realized that one needs to put in extra effort to make .NET CF apps load faster.
