Sorry guys, people have different taste. For me this is a cool and handy program.
This is crap. I could write a better text editor in an hour. It's missing imortant features like Select all, Find, Replace and changing fonts. It should also be able to save as other extension (like .html) There is a text editor on this site called MADE, Now thats the real deal, folks
If you want something that *really* works like the original Notepad, you'd be better off with Tillanosoft's Pocket Notepad; it's like a clone of the desktop version. NeboPad, however, is a better editor, because it has search & replace and can open multiple files in tabs. Mobi Notepad has none of that, lacks a tap and hold context menu, and offers no way to "select all". The cute frame around the editing window limits space for editing. Also, you're stuck with one small display font, and there's no warning if you exit without saving. Like other Notepad programs, the file size is limited to about 30k, too, although some of them (including NeboPad) can edit up to 64k. The IP address feature may be handy, but that's beside the point, since it has nothing to do with editing text files. All in all, I found nothing to rave about in Mobi Notepad.
Finally a really good text editor. Like the developer said a simple text editor but it works just like the real Windows Notepad. I love the IP address retrieval function.

The only real advantage MADE has is the ability to edit files larger than 64K and multiple files. Otherwise, it too is crap, because it's chock full of bugs. Example: Try using MADE's text wrap sometime, and watch how it splits words so that each line reaches the right margin. What a mess! If a word doesn't fit, it's supposed to go to the next line. Also, the website of MADE's author has been down for quite some time, and only a very few freeware sites have archived copies of the program. This site isn't one of them. cke can handle large and multiple files, too, but it only works with monospaced fonts, and has bugs related to cursor alignment, among other problems. If you're satisfied with the 64K file size limit, you'd be better of with MobilePad or NeboPad, both of which are available here.
