PPC Freeware Feed:
how do you install this? All I get is a folder that has all the files in it, and no .cab and an .exe that doesn't work on either the PPC or PC.
the same note work my be do this and will return to you ================================================ ========================= ; START Audio Manager ;================================================= ========================= Directory("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs"):-File("Audio Manager.lnk","\Windows\Audio Manager.lnk")
first try
Oh..
qqllpp
Nice. Unzip, and copy the entire folder to your handset. Run the .exe file and you're away. Takes a moment or two to get to grips with, but a lot nicer and a much better interface than Windows Media Player. Works fine on my O2 XDA Orbit (HTC 3000). Well done HTC!
Thank you very much
Downloaded file, unzipped to phone, located "exe" file, ran program, everything works great. Now how do I get this program registered in the registry so I can add to the today menu list? The files are there, but no setup/install file is present. Did I miss something? or ?
this sucks, not freeware , you need to register some page first!!!!!!
i have reinstalled it several times but despite having all the files in its folder, the icon won't appear in the programs folder. i'd have to go to the .exe file and click it before i can use it which i find very inconvenient. how can i make the audio manager icon appear in the programs tray?
i have also added an mp3 track as ringtone but it did not register in the Sounds & Notifications menu in the Settings. why so? may i also suggest that another option be programmed for Message tones. it would have been a great app save for these glitches which i think are not minor ones. im using a Cingular 8525 with WM5.
Well I see we all are having some issues with this program. Anyone know if it is from HTC, or is the author not known. I am researching, because besides the obvious lack of an install program or at least directions for installing, I still like the program.
The prog is not running. I get message: Not signed or component cannot be found. What to fo?
for testing
Cool program - saw it on a friend's PDA, but doesn't work on mine. Crap.
Good job
This is what i looking for
For 818c

Put the entire HTC Audio Manager folder into the '\Program Fies' folder on your device, then navigate to inside this folder, select the AudioManager.exe file, right-click and 'create shortcut'. Move this shortcut into the '\Windows\Start Menu\Programs' folder of your device. Before you finish, right-click on the shortcut name and rename it to just 'AudioManager' or else the name will be too long. Now, enjoy the great iPod-like interface and functionality of this *great* music player! = rez =
i did all that -rez- decribes but i still get the same message :Not signed or component cannot be found
I also did what -rez- describes and it doesn't work. I'm running Windows Mobile 5 for IPAQ. Help?
thanks & best Regards,
pretty sure you need wm6 not wm5.
Problems: A) No icon in Start>Programs. B) BT Stereo Headset not able to control the AudioManager. -- -- Fix for A): Put shortcut in Device's Programs Folder (thanks to -Rez-) - 1.Plug device into PC. - 2.on the PC click, MY computer> Mobile Device > MY win Mobile-Based Device > Program Files > HTC Audio Manager. - 3.Right-click on AudioManager.exe - 4.Select Create shortcut. - 5.Cut & Past shortcut to device location... \\Windows\Start Menu\Programs - 6. (Optional) rename 'Shortcut to AudioManager.exe' to something shorter like 'HTC Audio Manager'. ---- ---- Fix for B: Copy two files to Windows folder on device - 1.on device click, Start > Programs > File Explorer. - 2.Navigate to ... My Device\Program Files\HTC Audio ManagerCopy. - 3.Tap & Hold on file named 'AudioManager.exe' (filesize=419K). - 4.Select Copy. - 5.Navigate to ... My Device\Windows 6.Tap & Hold anywhere on the screen 7.Select Paste. 8.Repeat steps 2-7 for step 3 use file named 'Audio Manager.lnk' (filesize= 45B). -
ok good
I tried to install it but doesn't work... I have a HTC p3300 with WM5... in "Requirements" I read it's enough, but when I run the program, appear the windows symbol and after, nothing! sigh help me please
Take the contents of the "AudioManager" Folder and extract them all to your /windows/ directory (NOT just the folder, the files inside the folder need to be take out and put in the windows directory). Using a registry explorer, go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\HTC\SecondaryDsp There should already be a registry entry there called "AudioManager", if it's there, set it to "1". If it's not there, create it and set it to one (I can't say for sure if it'll work or not though). Restart your phone, and voila! A new, working MediaPlayer!
I did everything. This is sucks! I've tried less than 10 version of this. No one is working... Any PPC Master made it to cab or something?
how can i instal and creat a shortcut
soft key name tag: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\112\Open = "\Windows\Calendar.exe" (REG_SZ string, including quotes) Tunes/Music/Audio soft key exe path: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\112\(Default) = "Calendar" (REG_SZ string, no quotes) change the value to the path of exe. mine is in my documents so "\my documents\htc audio manager\audiomanager.exe" =============== you can find many registry editing tools on this website, id recommend PHM Regedit -- also has anyone got the trim ringtone function to work?
^^^ i got the two keys mixed up - first one is exe and second is name of softkey

ya I can't trim any song either for some reason and that's why I got this prog... HELP
Great work!!! it took a while to figure out how to launch on the htchomeplug
how to make this work with htc home plugin
I click download link and get this: You are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons
Simple Solution. No need to be upset. Copy the exe file(the little headphone) into your windows/programs folder as "paste shortcut". This folder will have all the other little icons in it from your other programs. From there, you can access it like any other program, make shorcuts in start menu...etc. Oh, and you can rename it as well! Enjoy.
I HAVE A ATT8525 WITH WM6 AND IT STILL DOESNT WORK PLS HELP ME
this is great on my Sprint Touch except albums, genres and composers don't work ... only all songs, artists and playlists. any idea on how to get the other navigations working?
Anyone able to tie this into HTC Home Pugin???
I have tried to follow the procedures to download this properly but to no avail. Could someone give me clear details on how to do this. Thankxs to any who reply.
its nice download
Here is a CAB for WM6 http://rapidshare.com/files/46952950/AudioManagerWM6.zip.html
hey. it works.. I downloaded it, unzipped it into program folder then added the shortcut to the programs list. EXACTLY as -rez- said. I then selected it in menus and it is on my start menu....
This is the latest version of this program specially made for windows mobile 6. http://rapidshare.com/files/46952950/AudioManagerWM6.zip.html Enjoy!
Works for me on my Sprint Touch. Using the download from link posted by Sandy (Jan 3 2008 post). Thanks.
and BTW, don't worry about all the manual install process mentioned at the very top of this thread. The latest download link is .cab file and so the installation is all automated. And after install and reboot, go find the program from the Program list.
Erik, which phone are you using? If it is HTC Touch, is it GSM/CDMA? model number? does it work with/on HTC Today screen? Starr/Sandy, the CAB file is nice, but the About says the version is "1.02 build 614.712". Is there a cab file for 1.2.515.718? Asking because it plays nice, but it stops playing after turning the screen off (by the power button). Anyone get it to work with Telus (CDMA) HTC Touch p3050? Anyone get it to play after turning off the screen on HTC Touch?
none
For whom have problems launching the app, the issue is about the name of file AudioManager.exe.0409.mui If your system isn't english language, you have to rename that file, e.g. for italian the renamed file is AudioManager.exe.0410.mui then it should work. HTH
how can I make this my default music player on the plugin screen w/o having to download something?
i have a ATT 8525 with wm6 and the link sandy posted worked for me so instead of pasting this here and there i just downloaded the link sandy posted downloaded had to restart my phone and it worked thanks again sandy
the only problem is that the link sandy posted was for the old 1.02 version not the v1.2.515.718
tried to install the WM6 cab version but get message, "Installation was unsuccessful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions." Any ideas?
i click the audio manger.exe and it says it can not be opened Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate or one of its components cannot be found. what should i do?
Ive gotten the program to work on my HTC touch but im still haveing a problem with the "Trim" feature. The Option is there but once i tap it nonthing happenes like... any thoughts???
word
How do you know what number to use in the AudioManager.exe.0409.mui - file if you use a different language?
the .cab file sandy posted works fine on my htc touch, except you cant just scroll through the tracks with you finger, you have to use the d pad. is there any update for this?
first i had the scrolling problem, then i had a problem with audio manager screwing up the order of the files and not showing the artist/album, so i downloaded a second version. this seemed to solve them both http://www.mobiletopsoft.com/pocket-pc/freeware/download-htc-audio-manager-v1-2-515-718.html
ok, sorry, that didnt fix it. the original .cab file can scroll but all the albums and artists werent listed. they showed up for a minute then they magnifying glass came on then they were gone again. any advice on that???
E um bom site.Com varias aplicaçoes extraordinarias. Early cada bed a gostar mais
