Group SMS Solution.
As the name suggest it is basically a program to send SMSes to a group of people at the same time.

As most Windows Mobile devices lack the functionality to send the same SMS to a group of contacts i decided to make this small application. It can be started from the Start menu or by the right menu in the messaging application.

The application reads the categories from the Pocket Outlook database. If you own a Smartphone, you have to create the categories in Outlook and sync them to your device.

1. Category Wise Contact Pickup
2. Individual Contact Pickup made easy
3. works with WM5 and WM6.
4. Seems to be moderately paced as it is written using managed code but does the job well.
5. It is free.

make an update to SAVE GROUPS. at the moment we still have to manually put a check next to every contact that we want to send the msg to. If you add SAVE GROUP then we can just click that group each time we send a message.

excellent application sad that HTC does not offer a pre installed application like this in their device. I carry a diamond and was quite shocked to see that this kind of a feature was not available. Great stuff

I want to name a group for example "friends" and select this name when I type a message. This program only lets you select contacts, not store groups...

I have figured out one way to add groups. I am using Windows Mobile 6.1 and Outlook 2003 on my PC. On the PC, I go into Contacts, select one or more contacts, right click, and can choose "catagories" for them. These categories show up as groups. I rule the universe. (if there are other ways I would like to know also)
