I’ve not been able to find a free application for Windows Mobile that allows easy text messaging (SMS) via your Google Voice account. I wanted something easy to use that also pulls from the phone’s contacts list. So since I couldn’t locate an app that suites these needs, I created one. After all, I’m a broke college student and I want something to give me free outgoing messages. Speaking of being broke, if you like what you see, consider donating using the PayPal button, anything at all would be greatly appreciated!

Features:

* It’s free. Who doesn’t like free stuff?
* Sends messages via the 3G data connection, meaning your outgoing SMS costs you nothing
* Interfaces with your phone’s contacts list
* Connects directly to Google via SSL to send your message, no man-in-the-middle servers that could potentially harvest your Google Account password
* Signature support
* Send to multiple recipients at once

Easy SMS will become completely open-source after I get the chance to comment some of the code, tidy up, etc.

You no longer need an invite to join Google Voice. You just have to live in the US.

some idiots will just download it and then bad mouth it cuz it doesn't work with their lame google accounts. Deuches, you need a GOOGLE VOICE account. (which is still by invitation) App works perfectly. Kudos Matt!!!

works on my HTC Tilt2.. but only good for sending texts. When they reply to you, messages are sent to your google email account.

HTC Touch Pro 2. It doesn't seem to work at all. None of my text messages reach my inteded destination. It's also INSANELY buggy. The error box says to e-mail the details to sullivan.matt@gmail.com, I believe, but it's so buggtastic I can't get the error data to be accesible for transfer or to actually stay on screen long enough to bre relevantly utilized. I hope the next version works because I certainly have use for it.

It says Google Voice account, not a Google account so obviously... you NEED a Google VOICE account. This program is really good wow I've been looking for an easy way to text people easily with my GV account :). But is there a way you could also have it recieve the texts? This app would be fucking amazing if you could somehow incorporate that!

hey it shows that the message is sent, but im not receiving anything !! ... i stay in Turkey and my area code is 0090_____ does it work everywhere ? and with any normal google account ?? thanks !
