First real use of Bing for me. Had to download the wm5/6 version. I really like it. The gps is accurate and the 'speak' function is just plain slick. My phone is WM6.1 on qvga ATT Tilt (HTC 8925).

Tried it - went back to the previous version. Slow as heck, scrolling is inaccurate and choppy. In long lists, you have to swipe & swipe & swipe... No gas prices, hard to get to movies playing in MY theaters, not finger friendly. FAIL!!

TheBigCheese @ December 8th 2009 5:49 pm

I used this for one hour and removed it and put the previous version back on. 1. GPS is highly inaccurate and 3X as slow starting up. 2. Everything is too slow to tolerate. 3. Not touch friendly. 4. No gas prices. WTF? This is the main reason I used the app!! Nothing is better.

not compatible with vzw tp2

jhnstn00 @ December 7th 2009 9:38 pm

i stil get the same old Bing. No new screen like on the image above??? WM 6.1

scoobymystery69 @ December 7th 2009 6:24 pm

Wow by the sounds of it... they posted a picture of there head honcho CEO, President whom ever... to endorse there BING sounds crappy to me.

DJyoSNOW @ December 7th 2009 6:20 pm

Thinking about it this instance is just like there Market Place. I have had a hacked .cab file from xda-developers for months that worked fine. Though I'd though I would get legit through Microsoft, though there .cab file failed to work from Microsoft to there market place. I guess there is a reason why users create and hack especially directly to and for Microsoft products. Am I supposed to thank Microsoft or users... I'm just an innocent bi-standard who likes not to cheat the system but apparently has to often. Especially since Windows mobile 6.5 update has not gone official yet, though users are talking about a sAweet version 6.5.1 since Microsoft most commonly gets in wrong in every way imaginable. Your Loyal Customer

DJyoSNOW @ December 7th 2009 6:04 pm

Made by: Microsoft yet users claim it's not compatible with the Omnia or the Omnia II. So where does that leave such users. What faith am I supposed to put in Microsoft... go figure I guess maybe some day they will get it right or at least explain why there Microsoft software does not work on there Microsoft hardware... as a user I would have not though I would have been left in the dark since my device is only one year old? (qvga wqvg I'm not that familiar with what my device has but neither is Microsoft apparently) BOOOO TA YOU TO Microsoft could you please PLEASE GET YOUR $hit together? (or explain)

djyosnow @ December 7th 2009 10:08 am

Should i be surprised the Bing update did not work. Apparently not since the .cab file redirects me to site. Then the txt me the link also fails. I guess my vzw i910 is not compatible with this over due update.

Maps and Movies didn't work for me using 6.5. It's a custom ROM, but I just installed the new version of Google map and it works without a hitch and every version I've ever gotten has worked. Imagine that. I really don't want to like Google, but M$ makes it hard not to.

will not work with the omnia 2. once you go in to the install it will say your device is not supported. i guess the phone is to new?? who knows. i know on older smart phones that ive had like the omnia 1 and others i could still install other programs that weren't approved for the device.

sheitan meitan @ December 2nd 2009 10:21 am

intresting app, thanks

Katara @ August 5th 2009 9:04 pm

I would suggest this program to anyone. I think it's better than LiveSearch because the GPS function actually works. Secondly, since I moved into a new area it has been an absolute necessity. It's fast and smooth and has successfully guided me to my destinations.

Metodic Menace @ July 12th 2009 3:52 pm

big june @ July 1st 2009 10:48 am

YEAH like everybody said it's just live search with a different name. no use d-loading unless you want the new title.

MasterGadgets @ June 30th 2009 9:19 am
device: Windows Mobile 6.1

Looks exactly like Live Search. Just a different name.

Casey Hales @ June 29th 2009 5:43 pm
device: Samsung i907 epix

Yeah, why call it Bing? It's not.

Devin @ June 29th 2009 5:18 pm

I guess this replaces Live Search, since it uses the exact same interface.
