» Berean BerBible v2.30 Description

BerBible is simplified Bible freeware that includes the complete ESV Bible at no cost (English Standard Version ©2001 by Good News and Crossway Publishers). The learning curve is all but trivial because only the most used essentials are implemented:
- Lookup a specific verse (such as John 3:16).
- Find verses with one or more word (super-concordance).

Word/phrase searching is extremely fast, intuitive, and very flexible to find what you are looking for. Even on older PPC-2002's, it is running quickly after you launch it, and incremental searching is as fast as you can tap the stylus.

BerBible derives its name from Berean Bible, which reflects that the focus is on sola scriptura with no provision for commentaries.

Virus-like behavior, likely due to a programming error, I assume. (It puts an unremovable icon in the start menu without your consent. It can be removed by manually deleting the .lnk file from the Start Menu folder.) Tedious to overcome, but once it's done, it's a good program. I particularly like that it's a good, reliable translation for free. The UI isn't as good as Olive Tree's software, but, again, it's free.

Wonderful app. The only thing is..seems like im missing the 2nd half of the bible. Psalms is not in there, Revelations, etc.
